Auguste Peureux founded his Distillery in 1864 in Fougerolles, at the foot of the Vosges. The Distillery specialized in the production of fruit spirits, including the famous Fougerolles kirsch. The Distillery is now also famous for their Griottines® – tasty wild Morello cherries, stoned and prepared in a liqueur whose unique recipe is jealously guarded.
Griottines® Original – wild Morello cherries, stoned and macerated in a slightly kirschy liqueur. They are prefect for both sweet and savory recipes, Comté cheese, melon, foie gras, duck, chocolate, vanilla ice cream, etc. and also for use in cocktails, champagne.
