Le Chocolatier Sablais was first born in the imagination of Ségolène and Stéphane Arnauld, in the 2000s, when they both ran “Le Pierrot”, a very popular tea room and pastry shop on the Remblai des Sables d’Olonne, facing the ocean.
The two gourmands then discovered a treasure in this Vendée institution: an old book of handwritten recipes for biscuits, chocolates, and other delicious sweets, as well as old iron molds representing bells, eggs, chickens, etc
